Have you been to a local golf club and see pictures of cars plastered around some of the greens or even local competitions where cars are parked on the green. This happened of course in the US and as most golfers would assume, those cars would be the grand prize if you were ever to sink a hole-in-one. But this wasn’t the case.

In one particular competition in the US, golfer Allen Ross won a hole-in-one competition and instead of getting the KIA K900 which was parked on the course, the organisers of the competition awarded him USD$25,000 (around RM79,000) instead of the USD$60,000 car with the term, that he won USD$25,000 towards buying himself a KIA K900.

Of course Allen didn’t take it so lightly because it felt like a bait-and-switch gimmick and the consequences were a huge media backlash.

At the end of the day, the sponsors of the tournament as well as the tournament organisers bowed to media pressure and decided to award Allen Ross with the KIA K900 (pictured above). It is about time that people did the right thing.
