We all know Rolls-Royce is a marque that’s associated with luxury and excellence. We may think this marque usually sponsors a Polo team to be in-line with its exclusive image, but they just recently sponsored a racing team. This is not your regular racing team, but instead they consisted of school children in the UK!
The 10 boys and girls are from the March CE Primary school, UK, were sponsored by Rolls-Royce UK, to participate in Greenpower IET Formula Goblin competition, a program where school children build and race little electric cars in Goodwood Motor Circuit. The company’s engineers provided consultation to these kids, which led to the team winning the coveted ‘Best Bodywork’ prize. Noticeably, the little electric car spots the typical RR’s grille and logo at the front; something that the other cars from other schools did not have.
In the end, it is a brilliant CSR from Rolls-Royce to encourage and inspire these school children to become engineers in the automotive industry. Besides, this could be the most adorable racing team in the world!
