Brand new Tesla crashed in front of dealership

Tesla

So you’ve just bought a brand new ride and you just can’t wait to show it to your friends and family members. Yes, we know you can’t contain your excitement but we think that it’s not really necessary to lose control of your brand new car even before leaving the dealership’s parking lot. This has got to be a world record for the fastest ‘new car’ crash, ever.

The car you see planted into the Tesla sign in this picture above happened just a couple of days ago and it is a brand new ride that fell victim to its new owner’s excessive enthusiasm, not backed up by experience we presume. This incident happened just outside of the main production facility in Fremont, California and from what we’ve gathered, the incident was caused by the driver stepping onto the wrong pedal. Yes, there are two to choose from, it can get confusing…sometimes.

Although, there are no Telsa models available in Malaysia, as a motoring journalist, we are quite certain that most cars today have the same pedal placement; the accelerator pedal is on the right, and the brake pedal is on the left. Yes? And based on our experience, driving electric cars, while they may seem like spaceships, they’re the same as driving normal cars.

We’re not going to point fingers here but just in case you’re buying a new car, don’t get over excited or you might end up like this poor not-so-brand-new-Telsa-anymore-after 5-minutes owner here.

This is not the worst car-related incident we’ve heard of this week, click here to find out more!
