Subaru BRZ to get second generation!

brz

Subaru has confirmed that there will be a second generation for the Subaru BRZ. This is in response to a recent report that there won’t be another next generation rear-wheel driven coupe from these two Japanese manufacturers; after Toyota had signed a sports car collaboration deal with BMW late last year.

Yasuyuki Yoshinaga, president of FHI, said “If I were to be told that, I’d pass out. It’s not going to be just one generation.”

On that note, the second-generation of the ‘ToyoBaru‘ coupe would be another collaboration between these two Japanese manufacturers. Also, this wouldn’t impact the sports car project between Toyota and BMW, which is set to unleash a new two-seat hybrid sports car that could potentially be the successor for Z4 and Celica/MR2 models.

Besides, the more choices of sports car for us, the better, don’t you agree?
