A couple of folks have recently spotted the latest BMW F80 M3 at the local dealerships. The car is set to be launched this Friday by BMW Malaysia together with the M4 and boy, this colour is absolutely gorgeous.
Key changes between the outgoing E9x M3 is that the 4.0 V8 engine is now replaced with a twin turbo 3.0L engine. Turbo charging isn’t new with BMW as they did that with the F10 M5. Now we can only hope that this car will sound amazing especially with the sound of the turbo spooling.
News of the BMW F80 M3 completing the Nurburgring Nordscheleife in 7mins 50secs, which is a whole 15 seconds faster than the outgoing E92 M3 which completed the ring in 8mins 5 secs. The F80 M3 completed the ring in exactly the same time as the older E46 M3 CSL.
Now, I definitely can’t wait to actually have a go in the new M. Although the older E9x M3 is getting cheaper, a lot of people are usually put off by the high road tax (4.0L engine). With the newer models, I think we will be seeing more of these gorgeous vehicles on the road.
