It was only just recently that we reported about Subaru and how they broke their own record at the Isle of Man TT Course in the new Subaru WRX STI. This is how they actually did it.
Driving in the new 2015 Subaru WRX STI, the car has been stiffened by 40% and built to be a better improvement over the past WRX STI. Driven by Mark Higgins, he managed a 19minutes 15 second breaking the previous 19minutes 37 second lap time set in 2011.
It was interesting to also see some of the results of the drive as they also monitored Mark’s heartbeat throughout the course and when the car started to be pushed to the limit, Mark’s heartbeat easily jumped 40bpm, almost as instantaneously as the car. Talk about being in-synced with the car.
