BMW Group Malaysia has launched the latest addition to its BMW 4 Series family with the new BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé.
The new BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé has exactly the same dimensions as the two-door coupé with the functionality provided by four-doors and spaciousness, including a wide-access luggage compartment. It measures at 4,638 mm long, 1,825 mm wide and a wheelbase of 2,810 mm. Up front, BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé share the typical BMW design features like the double-kidney grille, dual round headlights and the large air intake in the front apron. However, the roof of the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé is 12 mm higher, 112 mm longer and gently stretched allowing it to flow smoothly into the rear quarter panels and boot lid. The typical BMW short overhangs, the long bonnet and the set-back passenger compartment complement the design of the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé.
This extended roofline provides more headroom in the interior, not to mention added comfort. Apart from that, the boot volume of 480-litres is 35-litres larger than that of the two-door version for an additional cargo space. It can also be expended up to 1,300-litres with a level luggage compartment floor.
At the heart of the new BMW 428i Gran Coupé is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine which delivers an output of 245hp and torque peaking at 350Nm. Mated with an 8-speed Steptronic transmission, the Coupé is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds whilst reaching a top speed of 250km/h. It also records an impressive low fuel consumption of 6.6-litre per 100km and an exceptional CO2 emissions of 154 grams per 100 kilometre.
The interior of the new BMW 428i Gran Coupé is adorned with high-quality materials such as Dakota leather upholstery. For best-in-class ergonomics, the four-door sports coupé is fitted with BMW driver orientation, circular black panel instruments and an advanced iDrive control system consisting of a fixed flatscreen monitor and iDrive with Touch Controller. Besides that, the new BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé also features intelligent in-car connectivity with a set of comprehensive BMW ConnectedDrive features which include Bluetooth connectivity, BMW Apps and BMW Live.
The 4-series Gran Coupé is now on sale with the choice of two variants; BMW 428i Gran Coupé M Sport and BMW 428i Gran Coupé. Colours available for the 428i Gran Coupé include Alpine White, Melbourne Red, Glacier Silver, Mineral Grey and Jatoba Metallic while the M Sport variant comes with an additional colours of Carbon Black and Estoril Blue.
