We’ve test driven it a couple of weeks ago and now Nissan has officially launched the 2014 Nissan Teana! Available in 3 variants; 2.5XV, 2.0XL and 2.0XE, the 2014 Teana is locally assembled in Malaysia at ETCM’s Serendah Plant which is equipped with some of the most advanced manufacturing technology.
The new Nissan Teana has an enhanced overall presence, thanks to the sharp character lines that extend from front to rear and evoke fluid momentum. The stately front grille sits between canted headlamps. The car’s svelte profile results in improved aerodynamic efficiency.
Just like going first-class on a flight, the new Teana comes with a “Zero-Gravity inspired” Seat Design that helps to reduce muscular and spinal loads, and to improve blood flow. It helps to reduce fatigue over long periods behind the wheel ensuring a comfortable driving experience especially during long-distance trips. Apart from that, interior noise has been greatly reduced for a serene driving experience.
To enhance the premium experience of the Teana, there are 9 BOSE Premium Audio System Speakers available as standard feature to provide an impressive surround sound experience. Other premium comfort and convenience includes intelligent key with Push-Start ignition, dual-zone auto climate control, rear AC vents, sunroof as well as rear power sunshade.
The new Teana comes with a choice of either a 2.0-litre or 2.5-litre DOHC 16-valve, in-line four-pot with CVTC, but both variants are mated to a new generation XTronic CVT transmission. As a result, the engine delivers power output of 136PS and 190Nm of peak torque for the 2.0-litre engine while the 2.5-litre variant delivers 173Ps and 234Nm of torque. 70% of the components of the XTronic CVT were re-designed to reduce internal friction and make the unit more compact. Based on Nissan’s internal test data, the new Nissan Teana 2.0 litre can deliver 13.5km/l while the Teana 2.5 litre can go up to 13.3km /l.
When it comes to safety, the new Teana offers a suite of innovative safety and convenience features. These include 6 SRS Airbags, Hill Start Assist (HSA), Active Understeer Control (AUC), Anti-Lock Braking Systems (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) with Brake Assist (BA), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and a Traction Control System (TCS).
Available in five colours, Storm Blue, Tungsten Silver, Diamond Black, Bronze Gold and Brilliant White, the new Nissan Teana is now available at your nearest Nissan showroom. Below is the on-the-road price for all three variants;

All variants come with a warranty of 3-years or 100,000kms, whichever comes first.
