Did you know that you can buy versions of all three generations of the Mazda6 from showrooms in China? That means buyers in China can drive home either the first, second or the latest third generation of the Mazda 6, brand new.
This was made possible thanks to Mazda’s Chinese partner, FAW, which just launched the new Mazda 6 dubbed Mazda 6 Atenza. The second generation (above) of the Mazda 6 will be sold as the Mazda6 Ruiyi. The first generation 6 (below), which debuted in 2002, will be known to the Chinese market as just the Mazda6.
It may sound unorthodox to sell a car model which includes the latest and previous generations side-by-side, but all these models are sold with different price tags, allowing the Chinese buyers to enjoy Mazda’s brilliant D-segment saloon depending to their budget.
