Meet the Dodge Dart SRT, which is part of the new models which will be introduced under Fiat Chrysler’s five year plan. It will be a turbocharged and all-wheel drive saloon, which means it could effectively be America’s answer to the Subaru Impreza WRX.
The current Dart is based on Fiat Compact platform and shares many of the components from the Alfa Romeo Giulietta, mainly the suspension and engine. The Street and Racing Technology (SRT) is basically the main tuning arm for Dodge and have produced vehicles such as the Dodge Viper, Charger and so on. Think of it as how STI turned the Impreza into a fast saloon and we will get the picture how SRT will tune the Dart SRT to become a potential capable rally machine. Hopefully, it will not end up like other Japanese car maker.
The new Dart SRT will be launched in 2016.
