Ford Malaysia has recently announced that its highly-anticipated Fiesta with 1.0L EcoBoost engine has finally arrived in Malaysia. The 1.0L EcoBoost is the third EcoBoost engine Ford has introduced in this country.
Priced at RM96,551 on-the-road with insurance, the new Fiesta 1.0L EcoBoost is available in Malaysia in the five-door Sport+ variant (hatchback) in three colours namely Artic White, Panther Black and True Red. The Ford Fiesta 1.0L EcoBoost is now available at all showrooms across Peninsular Malaysia and will make its way to Sabah and Sarawak in June 2014.
For an additional RM9, 550 compared to the 1.5L variant, buyers of the Ford Fiesta 1.0L EcoBoost will be getting the quiet and smooth-running 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine that produces 123hp and peak torque of 170Nm mated to a six-speed Ford PowerShift automatic transmission, with ‘SelectShift’. With 25% fewer moving parts, the 3-cylinder EcoBoost delivers both class-leading fuel efficiency of 5.3L/100 km and CO2 emissions of 121g/km2.
Apart from that, the Ford Fiesta 1.0L EcoBoost variant comes with sporty suspension, stylish all-round skirting, sporty body kit, LED daytime running lights as well as seven airbags.
As with all Ford passenger vehicles available in Malaysia, the new Fiesta comes with Ford’s Extended Service Plan (ESP) that provides free three-year or 60,000km maintenance programme that covers parts and labour free of charge. In addition to routine inspection and maintenance services, Ford’s ESP covers free replacements for selected wear-and-tear items, including spark plugs, shock absorbers, engine belts, brake pads and even wiper blades.
Fiesta 1.0L Urban Playground
To support the arrival of the new Fiesta1.0L EcoBoost, Ford is kicking off the ‘Fiesta 1.0L Urban Playground’ experiential tour on 3 May. Held over eight consecutive weekends at nine selected locations, visitors can experience the Fiesta 1.0L EcoBoost’s performance, superior handling and acceleration as well as its smart technologies and features.
