Porsche recently released a short video of Russian tennis superstar, Maria Sharapova taking a joyride in the Porsche 918 Spyder with former Formula One driver Mark Webber, around Stuttgart in Germany. Sharapova was in town for the Porsche Grand Prix tournament, which she won a day after the video was released.
Maria seemed to have enjoyed the ride although she didn’t get to sit behind the wheel. The Porsche brand ambassador also mentioned that she always had her eye on the super car although it is a little bit out of her price range.
To recap, the Porsche 918 Spyder is the company’s first ever hybrid supercar. It is powered by a 4.6-litre V8 engine that produces 608hp and 528 Nm of torque coupled with two electric motors that provides a total output of 887hp and 1,275 Nm of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration is just 2.6 seconds and top speed stands at 345 km/h.
