The Marussia F1 team is no longer owned by Marussia Motors and report indicates that the Marussia F1 Team has been sold to a new company called “Marussia Communications Limited.”
The report also mention that Marussia’s staff has “left the company en masse and joined a government-run technical institute.”
“The news is unfortunate for those concerned and we wish its employees well for the future,” said a spokeswoman for Marussia F1 team when announcing that the team is now independent from the car company. “The supercar project was ambitious but it is disappointing that it was unable to get to market.
Marussia was founded in 2007 and has so far released three cars that sounds like a basement parking levels – B1 (above), B2 (below) and F2 SUV. The B1, Russia’s first sports car, was launched in 2008. The B1 was a mid-mounted V6 2.8-litre turbocharged sports car produced in Moscow. That follows with the introduction of B2, which is quintessentially a facelifted B2. The engines from both cars were supplied by British engine maker, Cosworth.
Currently, the Marussia F1 team is yet to score any points since they bought over Virgin Racing in 2011.
