Citroën has just released a teaser image of the China-bound SUV that will be added to the DS lineup set to be unveiled this month at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show.
According to the French automaker, the DS SUV is build based on the Wild Rubis concept in conjunction with Changan Automobile Group in Shengzen, however this is the first hint they’ve given as to how the production version will look.It will be known as the Citroën DS X7 and it will ride on the same platform used for the DS5 and DS 5LS which are both manufactured in China.
The SUV promises to “marry power and refinement” and will reportedly be available with a 1.6-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 200bhp and 275Nm of torque as well as in a 163bhp and 240Nm configuration. There should also be a naturally-aspirated 1.8-litre rated at 139bhp and 170Nm.
At the 2014 Beijing Motor Show, Citroën will also unveil the sporty DS 5LS R powered by a 300 bhp 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbo engine so stay close for more updates!
