Harley Owners Group Malaysia Chapter has recently organized a one-of-a-kind event from 22nd to 27th March that took a group of 23 Harley owners and technical crew on a ‘Rock & Roll’ expedition to Mount Kinabalu, Sabah.

Unlike other activities organized for local Harley owners, this event did not involve a convoy of Harleys and in fact did not involve any amount of Harley riding. Participants left their steel stallions at home as they headed out to Sabah for an exhilarating experience they will never forget.

In a feat never attempted before, the group headed up Mount Kinabalu, faced chilly weather conditions and tackled the challenge of carrying one Harley-Davidson Dyna that weight 480kg – in separate parts, together with the necessary technical tools that weight 220kg – to Low’s Peak, where Harley-Davidson of Kuala Lumpur’s technical crew and the other participants assembled the bike together.

To mark the achievement, they started the engine and let the glorious roar of this stunning machine echoed around them as they enjoyed the breathtaking view. The team and then disassembled the bike before began their descent down the mountain where, once at ground level, they once again assembled the bike. The group stayed at the Mt. Kinabalu Heritage Spa & Resort and has visited several tourist spots which included Kinabalu Park, Timpohon Gate, Poring Hot Spring and Kundasang.
