Under the hood, all Staria variants share the same 2.2-litre CRDi four-cylinder turbodiesel engine, delivering 177 hp and 430 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission, with a 0–100 km/h time of 12.4 seconds and a top speed of 185 km/h.
In the safety front, the MPV comes with the Hyundai SmartSense which includes High Beam Assist (HBA), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Blind-Spot Collision-Warning (BCW), Surround View Monitor (SWM) and many more. Other than that, the Staria also has six airbags.
