INSTEROID: A Bold Fusion Of Gaming And Automotive Innovation

Hyundai is shaking things up again with the launch of Insteroid, a concept car that looks like it drove straight out of a video game. Unveiled today in Seoul, Korea, this wild new ride takes the already cool EV Inster and dials it up to beast mode—wider, faster, and packed with gaming-inspired details designed to turn heads and break limits.

With an extended body, track-ready wheels, and slick aerodynamic upgrades like a wing spoiler, diffuser, and wheel arch air vents, Insteroid is built for thrill-seekers. Step inside, and it’s all about that stripped-down race car energy—bucket seats, a roll cage, and a no-nonsense instrument cluster that makes you feel like you’re in a pro driving sim.

Everything is fully adjustable, staying true to the “Build it, play it, break it, repeat” motto. Oh, and did we mention it sounds as cool as it looks? This car has its own unique sound signature, making sure it leaves an unforgettable mark wherever it goes.

But INSTEROID isn’t just about speed and performance—it’s got personality, too. The Beat House sound system pumps up the energy, while the Message Grid lets drivers personalise their ride in ways never seen before. And for those who love a little sideways action, Drift Mode is here to bring the fun.

On the outside, it rocks a soft white finish with a bold orange accent, a look that screams futuristic speed demon. Inside, Hyundai keeps it green with 3D-knit fabric made from recycled yarns, proving that sustainability and style can go hand in hand.

Insteropid made a grand entrance at a launch event at Peaches D8NE in Seoul, where media and content creators got the first look. Hyundai also brought the gaming world to life with a time attack game, where players collect ‘steroid’ items to evolve the INSTER into INSTEROID—because why just drive it when you can level it up?

The game will be free to play in April, straight from a web link (no downloads needed). And if that wasn’t enough, Hyundai is rolling out the Insteroid Kart in Kartrider Rush+, continuing its streak of epic gaming collabs following projects with Roblox and ZEPETO.

If you want to see this beast up close, head over to the Seoul Mobility Show from April 3 to April 13, where Insteroid will be flexing its futuristic style. As the halo model for the Inster lineup, it’s set to make waves at major auto events in Korea and Europe, giving the world a taste of Hyundai’s next-gen vision.

And with the INSTER already selling like crazy, Hyundai is gearing up to expand to Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Central and South America in 2025.

INSTEROID is more than just a car—it’s a full-blown experience. A mix of speed, tech, and gaming vibes, all wrapped up in a futuristic package. Buckle up, because Hyundai is driving straight into the future, and it looks insanely fun.
