Tesla has officially pulled the wraps off its highly anticipated 2025 Model Y “Juniper” facelift in Malaysia! If you’ve been waiting to check it out in person, now’s your chance—the updated EV is on display at Pavilion Damansara until 2 March 2025.
Pre-orders for the Juniper edition kicked off in January, and now we’re getting a proper look at what this refreshed electric SUV brings to the table. Pricing starts at RM194,450 for the Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) model and RM242,450 for the Long Range All-Wheel Drive (AWD) version.
Of course, Tesla’s signature customisation options are also available, including a sleek all-white interior for RM5,000, Enhanced Autopilot for RM16,000, and the top-tier Full Self-Driving (FSD) upgrade for RM32,000.
A Bold New Look & Aerodynamic Boost
Tesla has given the Model Y Juniper a striking new appearance, featuring a cross-car lightbar at the front and a Cybertruck-inspired rear tailgate, complete with an integrated lightbar.
It’s not just about aesthetics, though—the updated aerodynamics, including redesigned wheels and a rear diffuser, improve lift balance, stability, and overall efficiency at high speeds.
A More Premium & Comfortable Interior
Step inside, and you’ll immediately notice the elevated experience. The Juniper edition introduces a revamped charging console, silver-accented floor mats, and luxurious all-black vegan suede trim. Tesla has also gone the extra mile with double-layer glass windows and a panoramic silver-coated glass roof, reducing heat and UV exposure while keeping the cabin whisper-quiet.
Technology gets a boost too! The massive 15.4-inch infotainment display is now even more immersive, while new customisable ambient lighting adds a touch of personal flair. Ventilated seats bring extra comfort, and rear passengers aren’t left out—they get an eight-inch touchscreen of their own.
Performance That Packs a Punch
While Tesla hasn’t officially revealed battery specs, the numbers speak for themselves. The RWD version rockets from 0-100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds with the Acceleration Boost, offering an impressive WLTP-rated range of up to 466 km. Meanwhile, the LR AWD model shaves that sprint time down to 4.3 seconds and delivers up to 551 km of range. Both versions have a top speed of 203 km/h.
One notable change? The turn signal stalk is making a comeback! While most controls remain on the steering wheel, Tesla has brought back a traditional indicator stalk—a welcome tweak for those who missed it. Gear selection, however, is still handled via the touchscreen.
Deliveries Coming Soon!
Excited to get behind the wheel? Tesla confirmed that production is already underway, with the first deliveries expected in April 2025. If you’re keen to make the Juniper your next ride, now’s the time to lock in your order.
Tesla’s future is looking electric—literally! What do you think of the new Model Y facelift? Drop by Pavilion Damansara and see it for yourself!
