Aston Martin Valkyrie LMH: The Ultimate Weapon For Le Mans Glory

Aston Martin has finally pulled the covers off its Valkyrie LMH, a machine built for one purpose—to dominate the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This isn’t just a hypercar; it’s a full-throttle, fire-breathing endurance racer, set to bring Aston Martin back to the top step of the podium for the first time in over six decades.

The road-going Valkyrie was already a monster, but Aston Martin took things up a notch (or ten) to create the LMH prototype. The goal? Nothing less than overall victory.

Mission: Conquer Le Mans

Adrian Hallmark, CEO of Aston Martin Lagonda, couldn’t have put it better:

“This is a proud moment for Aston Martin. To be returning to the fight for overall honours at the 24 Hours of Le Mans exists at the very core of our values and marks a key milestone in our motor racing heritage. As the only hypercar born from the road to challenge at the top of sports car racing in both the WEC and IMSA, the Valkyrie is an embodiment of our enduring sporting ethos, one that has defined the brand for more than a century.”

V12 Fury, Unleashed (Well, Sort Of)

Under the bonnet sits Cosworth’s 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12, a proper old-school screamer. But thanks to LMH regulations, the raw 1,140 HP power output has been reined in to 680 HP—still plenty to rocket down the Mulsanne Straight at warp speed.

To make it endurance-ready, AM’s engineers gave the engine a new torque curve, a tweaked rev limiter, and a leaner air-fuel ratio for better efficiency. So, while it may not be melting tarmac like its road-legal twin, this V12 is tuned for the long haul.

Aero That Means Business

A proper Le Mans Hypercar needs serious downforce, and the Valkyrie LMH does not disappoint. Expect:

  • LMH-spec front & rear body panels – easy to swap mid-race
  • Pneumatic jack system – for those lightning-fast pit stops
  • A massive rear fin & spoiler – because maximum downforce = maximum grip

This is endurance racing aerodynamics at its finest—built to slice through the air and hug the tarmac at breakneck speeds.

The Driver Line-up: Who’s Behind the Wheel?

Aston Martin isn’t just bringing one Valkyrie LMH to WEC—it’s bringing two.

  • Car #007 – Piloted by British duo Harry Tincknell & Tom Gamble
  • Car #009 – Handled by Danish ace Marco Sorensen & Spaniard Alex Riberas

And it’s not stopping at Le Mans and WEC! The IMSA SportsCar Championship will also see a lone Valkyrie LMH, ditching AM’s iconic green for a THOR blue livery, making its debut at the legendary 12 Hours of Sebring.

Let the Battle Begin!

The stage is set, the stakes are sky-high, and the Valkyrie LMH is ready to make history. Aston Martin isn’t just here to participate—they’re gunning for outright victory.
