Locally Assembled 2025 Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe Ready to Dominate Malaysian Roads

The facelifted 2025 Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe is set to make waves as the second locally assembled Porsche model (CKD) to be launched in Malaysia.

This groundbreaking model marks several firsts for Malaysian automotive industry, being the inaugural Porsche plug-in hybrid (PHEV) produced at Sime Darby Motors’ facility in Kulim, Kedah, and the first Malaysian-assembled Porsche to be exported to Thailand.

Performance and Powertrain

Under the bonnet, the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe boasts Porsche’s proprietary plug-in hybrid powertrain, which pairs a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine with a brand-new electric motor.

This powerhouse combination delivers an impressive 519 PS and 750 Nm of torque, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 263 km/h.

Fuelling this hybrid system is a substantial 25.9-kWh battery pack, offering an electric-only range of up to 90 km, ideal for daily city commutes across Malaysia.

Driving Dynamics and Comfort

The locally spec’d Cayenne comes equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), featuring a two-chamber, two-valve air suspension system. This setup ensures an optimal balance between dynamic driving performance and ride comfort.

Exterior Elegance

Aesthetically, the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe doesn’t disappoint. It comes standard with HD matrix LED headlights, a mix of gloss black and silver accents, and 20-inch Cayenne S Design wheels finished in Vesuvius Grey, exuding sportiness and sophistication.

Interior Luxury

Inside, luxury takes centre stage with 14-way power-adjustable front seats upholstered in Black or Bordeaux Red leather, complete with the Porsche crest on the headrests. Further enhancing the cabin are four-zone climate control with a built-in air ioniser and electric roll-up sun blinds.

Tech and Amenities

Technology is another strong suit of the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe CKD. It features a 12.3-inch central infotainment display, a 12.6-inch curved digital metre display, and optional rear-seat infotainment screens. A premium Bose sound system and an improved ADAS suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and ParkAssist with Surround View, round out the tech offerings.

“Since establishing our local assembly facility in Malaysia in 2022, Porsche has reached several key milestones that highlight the importance of this market. In just one year, more than 1,000 locally assembled Cayennes have been delivered to Malaysian customers, a clear indication of the strong demand and trust in the Porsche brand,” said Christopher Hunter, CEO of Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP).

“In 2024, we marked another significant achievement with the launch of the first regionally assembled Cayenne for Thailand, reinforcing our commitment to becoming a strong assembly partner to Porsche in this region. Building on this momentum, we are excited to launch a second model, the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe, in Malaysia for our customers,” Hunter continued.

Availability and Pricing

The all-new 2025 Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe CKD is now available for booking in Malaysia, with prices starting from RM728,000, excluding options and insurance.
