Sports in Malaysia could stand to get a little support from the private sector. Thanks to that, only will they get more support from fans about the country as well. Sime Darby, one of the large conglomerates in Malaysia has sponsored the Royal Selangor Club Rugby team to a tune of RM40,000. Whilst it does not sound a lot but every little bit goes a long way.
The team represents Ford’s ‘Built Ford Tough’ credentials of always being capable, tough and always striving towards excellence. Syed Ahmad Muzri Bin Syed Faiz, Managing Director, Sime Darby Auto Connexion (5th from left) marked the sponsorship between the Royal Selangor Club Rugby team by presenting the Ford team jersey to Mr. Jimi Low, Sports Chairman of the Royal Selangor Club (4th from left). The duration of sponsorship is for a period of two years.
