Tesla is going big in China with plans underway to build and open a factory there. Joining into the revolution that is electric cars, China is looking towards that future in order to reduce air pollution it is currently known for. Having electric vehicles on the road would be one way to solve this issue and Tesla wants to capitalise on that.
Elon Musk said that the plant would cost around $2billion and would double Tesla’s overseas manufacturing target. The money will be raised using local debt in order to fund the construction of the plant.
This will be the first Tesla plant outside of the USA and Tesla aims to start producing vehicles at the plant 2 years after construction starts with the aim of hitting 500,000 units per annum in a few years.
So if you are looking for a job in the electric car manufacturing industry, why not try reaching out to Tesla.
