Tesla managed to build 5,000 Model 3s last week

After expanding their production line at the Fremont Facility, Tesla has managed to reach their target of 5,000 Model 3s in a week. A target that was their make-or-break moment for investors, Elon Musk has been working around the clock with his team in order to meet those targets.

First, they opened up production lines outside of their premises by constructing tents on their parking lots. Secondly, they started improving on their processes as well as manufacturing capabilities by constantly pushing both their robots and humans to the limit.

All of that hard work has paid off as Tesla has managed to hit 7,000 units of cars manufactured at their factory, 5,000 of them were Model 3s and the rest consist of the Model S and Model X.

It is still the first step as it tries to fulfil the 450,000 reserved figure, a long road ahead indeed. So far, Tesla has been manufacturing the higher tier models of their Model 3, especially with the latest dual motor offerings which give the Model 3 AWD (all-wheel-drive) capabilities.
