Here are some of the photos captured by BMW during their World record attempt for the longest drift using the F90 BMW M5. BMW wrestled back the world record holder from Toyota with the latest BMW M5. What made this attempt amazing was that the M5 drifted for 8 hours and during the course of drifting, it refueled 5 times whilst drifting!
Oh wow!
Kudos to BMW who took the extra pain to even perform the refueling process whilst in drift because Guinness did say that stopping the car to refuel was an acceptable practice. In order to achieve this, BMW partnered with Detroit Speed to outfit the record-breaking M5 with a ‘dry break’ fuel system.
