So this just happened. Everyone knows what the Nurburgring a.k.a. the ‘Green Hell’ is all about, nobody goes there for a leisurely Sunday drive – just look at the race-kit in the camera car! So what happens when a car up front busts its engine and spills oil all over the track?
What many don’t realize though is that the ‘Ring – lest it’s an official sanctioned event – doesn’t have any marshals around it to warn of any dangers up ahead.
This brave soul above got out of his car and tried to warn others about the danger upfront, sacrificing his car in the process as it’s taken out by that orange Porsche 911 up there… grim.
Apparently three people had to be taken to hospital with serious injuries, but thankfully no lives were lost in this 14 car shunt, one of the biggest ever during ‘Tourist Days’ at the Green Hell.
