The Nissan LEAF will soon be available in Thailand

Our neighbours up north will be receiving the Nissan LEAF soon as Nissan wants to deliver a mainstream electric car to Thailand. This is the first automotive company to do so in the land of smiles.

“My goal is to make Nissan a major player in Thailand’s automotive sector, and one of the pillars of our customer-centric strategy to achieve that is to extend the range of Nissan vehicles available in Thailand by introducing our newest products like the new Nissan LEAF,” said Barthes, Nissan Motor Thailand Ltd. president. “While I cannot share a timeline or any other specifics at this time, I am excited to be able to announce that this state-of-the-art EV will join the impressive lineup of Nissan vehicles already sold in Thailand.”

This announcement also reinforces Nissan’s electrification strategy, and how its unique e-POWER technology and EV vehicles are paving the road to better environment and future for Thailand.

“As concerns about air quality and the environment grow, innovative Nissan solutions like e-Power – and EVs like the LEAF – are essential to a smart, clean and sustainable driving future without compromising affordability or driving pleasure,” said Barthes. He added that Nissan is continuously evolving its electrification strategy and portfolio with the goal of making this accessible, attractive, and convenient for all driving needs in all countries across the globe.

“Here in Thailand, we are talking to and working with the government, local governmental agencies and policy makers on Electrification and the infrastructure and ecosystem necessary to make that successful,” said Barthes.

The all-new Nissan LEAF sets a new standard in the growing market for mainstream electric cars by offering customers greater range, advanced technologies and a dynamic new design.
