BMW Group Malaysia has introduced the new BMW 530i M Sport as its newest model to be locally-assembled (CKD) in Malaysia.
The introduction of the “Most Progressive Sports-Business Sedan” on the Malaysian assembly line will mark the eleventh new model to join the portfolio of vehicles assembled in Malaysia by the BMW Group.
Introducing the new locally assembled BMW 5 Series, Mr. Han Sang Yung, Managing Director and CEO of BMW Group Malaysia, “The seventh generation all-new BMW 5 Series continues the remarkable success and ambition of the most successful Premium Business Sedan in the world and the new BMW 530i M Sport has already demonstrated this as the model continues to be one of the best-selling in the country with over 1000 units already delivered since its introduction in March this year.”
Han added that the decision to locally-assemble the new BMW 5 Series is a testament to BMW Group Malaysia’s longstanding investment and commitment in Malaysia towards making it a strategic hub for the BMW Group in the South East Asian region.

The BMW 530i M Sport boasts an athletic, sleek and prestigious design. Even when at a standstill, the new locally-assembled BMW 530i M Sport creates a powerful impression. In the seventh generation of the sportiest business sedan, the award-winning vehicle comes with an unbeatable line-up of assistance systems, an unmatched degree of connectivity and an innovative operating system.
Its engine is based on the newly developed, modular BMW EfficientDynamics family of power units. With the latest-generation inline 4-cylinder 2-litre petrol engine mated with an 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission, the new BMW 530i M Sport generates a maximum output of 252hp and 350Nm torque.

Its fuel consumption in the combined cycle comes in at 5.8 litres/100 km, with C02 emissions of 132 grams per kilometre. The BMW 530i M Sport accelerates from 0 ‑ 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds on its way to a top speed of 250 km/h. The locally-assembled variant will carry similar key features such as the M Aerodynamics components, M Sport brake, M light-alloy wheels, M specific pedals, and M leather steering wheels from the M Sport package.
Key driving assistance features such as Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Warning, Approach Control Warning & Person Warning, Collision Warning, Park Assistant as well as the BMW Display Key and BMW Gesture Control are all made available in the new locally-assembled BMW 530i M Sport.
It will be available in the colours of Alpine White, Mediterranean Blue, Sophisto Grey and two additional colours, Carbon Black Metallic and Bluestone Metallic. On top of that, the world’s most successful premium business car will also come with a range of Leather Dakota upholstery interior colour choices in Black and Cognac.
Available at all BMW authorised showrooms, the new revised recommended retail price with Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV) Status Incentives (on the road, without insurance with BMW Group Malaysia’s latest 5 Years Unlimited Mileage Warranty and Free Scheduled Service Program, 2 Years BMW Tyre Warranty Programme and backed by BMW Malaysia’s 5 Years New Roadside Assistance and Accident Hotline Program for the locally-assembled BMW 530i M Sport is RM 388,800.00.
