Honda Releases New Honda CBR250RR Special Edition

PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) released the new Honda CBR250RR Special Edition with a unique theme of the “Art of Kabuki,” a recently popular art trend. This newly designed Supersport model is made in Indonesia, and features a sketch of the map of Indonesia. This special edition commemorates the first anniversary since the world premiere of the Honda CBR250RR, an embodiment of the Total Control philosophy.

The new Honda CBR250RR Special Edition presents an iconic theme of Kabuki, with black shock absorbers, a red frame, asymmetric rim colors (front: black / rear: white), and a new white rear seat cowl.

AHM Marketing Director Thomas Wijaya said sport bike enthusiasts will be proud of the new appearance, with its unique character and trend-setting styling. The unique appearance of The Art of Kabuki applied to the new Honda CBR250RR Special Edition will bring a special pride to its owner.

“The world premiere of the Honda CBR250RR has been awaited by sports bike enthusiasts and rewrites the market of 250cc Supersport models. We are optimistic this unique special edition’s appearance will bring a strong bonding between the customer and their bike. This new design also brings pride to Indonesian Supersport enthusiasts through several features and the best technologies being applied. We have prepared 100 units of the new Honda CBR250RR Special Edition, available on Honda’s Wing Dealer,” said Wijaya.

The Kabuki Special version reflects the Japanese traditional ‘Kabukimono’ culture from the Sengoku Period (end 15th Century –  end 16th Century). The Japanese traditional ‘Kabuki’ play inherits this culture and expression of ‘Kabukimono.’ In the Sengoku Period, there were Samurais who loved being unique, forging a new culture. They were also brave, and performed their social duties. The CBR250RR, an epoch-making model in the sports bike scene in Indonesia, celebrates its anniversary with homage to the Kabukimono, while sharing the same philosophy of the CBR250RR.

The CBR250RR outputs up to 28.5kW (38.7PS) / 12.500rpm, with a maximum torque of up to 23.3Nm (2.4kgf.m) / 11.000rpm, from a completely new water-cooled 4-stroke 4-valve straight-twin DOHC 250cc power unit, the CBR250RR is also a class-leading lightweight machine at 165kg (standard type) and 168kg (ABS type).

The lightweight chassis and impressive power unit allow the Honda CBR250RR to cover 200m in only 8,65 seconds and reach a top speed of 170km/h. In addition to stunning acceleration, Honda’s ‘Total Control’ philosophy allows the CBR250RR Supersport motorcycle to maximize the rider’s performance and fun.

The New Honda CBR250RR Special Edition, The Art of Kabuki (ABS type) is marketed on OTR (On The Road) DKI Jakarta price starting at IDR 70.825.000, and with color options “Anchor Graymetallic” and “Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic” start at IDR 63.525.000 (standard type) and IDR 69.525.000 (ABS type).
