In April this year, Audi Malaysia has expanded the A4 lineup with two new variants, namely the entry-level Audi A4 1.4 TFSI and the top-of-the-range Audi 2.0 TFSI quattro, joining the Audi A4 2.0 TFSI variant which was launched in September 2016.
The Audi A4 1.4 TFSI represents the entry-point into the Audi A4 family, featuring an advanced 1.4 litre engine and 7-speed S tronic transmission that develops 150hp and 250Nm of torque between 1,500 and 3,500 rpm. This dynamic combination allows the Audi A4 1.4 TFSI to accelerate from 0-100km/h in a brisk 8.5 seconds. Befitting its smaller engine capacity, this model is also frugal in terms of fuel consumption, with a combined fuel consumption of 5.2 l/100 km and a CO2 emissions rating of just 119 g/km.
In terms of the exterior design, the Audi A4 1.4 TFSI differs from the standard Audi A4 2.0 TFSI only in terms of the wheel design as well as the xenon plus headlights with LED daytime running lights and halogen taillights instead of full LED lights. On the interior, the smaller-engined variant is also almost identical to the standard Audi A4 2.0 TFSI, with the key difference being the steering wheel design.
The Audi 2.0 TFSI quattro on the other hand, combines an uprated 2.0 TFSI engine developing 252 hp and a maximum 370 Nm of torque with Audi’s quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. This top-of-the-range Audi A4 makes the century sprint in just 5.8 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. Fuel efficiency and C02 emissions remain impressive for the Audi A4 2.0 TFSI quattro at 5.9 litres/100km and 136 g/km.
Equipped with the S line package as standard, the Audi A4 2.0 TFSI quattro comes with sportier front and rear bumpers, 18-inch 5-twin-spoke ‘Star’ design cast aluminium wheels, MMI navigation plus with MMI touch, sports front seats, Alcantara upholstery, matt brushed aluminium inlays, Audi smartphone interface for apple Carplay and Android Auto, Audi connect and numerous other range-topping features.
The Audi 1.4 TFSI comes in 7 colour options, namely Glacier White, Floret Silver, Scuba Blue, Tango Red, Monsoon Grey, Argus Brown, as well as Mythos Black. It comes with a starting price of RM218,900.
The range-topping Audi 2.0 TFSI quattro variant on the other hand, is available in 7 colour options, namely Glacier White, Floret Silver, Scuba Blue, Tango Red, Monsoon Grey, Daytona Grey, as well as Mythos Black. It retails from RM314,900.
