Tesla plans to open more Gigafactories in the US

Tesla has many grand plans to open more Gigafactories around the world in order to meet the demand required of their electric cars. Especially with the launch of the Model 3, Tesla is expected to continue to ramp up production of more models. On an interview which was posted online, Elon Musk revealed that he has plans to open up around 2-3 more Gigafactories in the US.

Such news would make the Trump administration extremely happy as it falls right into their own agenda where they want to create more jobs in the US. Interestingly, he mentioned this piece of news at the National Governors Associations meeting. It felt like it was a pitch for governors to offer Tesla additional benefits if they were to open up the factory in certain states. Still, it was truly a strategic move by Elon Musk.

One can only hope that Tesla would have any inclination of building a Gigafactory in Malaysia, perhaps that is a distant dream to dream about for the nation.
