Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has unveiled two new additions to the Passat family called the Passat Trendline PLUS and the Passat Comfortline PLUS.
Passat PLUS adds a sportier touch to Volkswagen’s already popular D-segment sedan with interior and exterior upgrades. The Passat Trendline PLUS features luxurious leather seats, 17-inch Istanbul alloy wheels, and window tint, while the Passat Comfortline PLUS comes with leather seats, 18-inch Monterey alloy wheels and window tint, both upgrades are valued at RM8,000 and RM12,000 respectively.
For a limited time until the 30th of September 2017, the Passat PLUS is offered with a special interest rate from as low as 0.88% on hire purchase loans with the duration of 5 to 9 years. To provide maximum peace of mind to customers, the entire Passat range, including the PLUS, also comes with 5-year free maintenance, or 75,000km (whichever comes first) with registrations by the 30th of September 2017.
The Passat PLUS variants are each powered by a 1.8L turbocharged TSI engine with a 7-speed direct shift gearbox (DSG) that churns out 180PS and a torque of 250Nm between 1,250 to 5,000rpm, with an impressive fuel consumption of approximately 5.7l/100 km.
Features that make the Passat even more attractive include start/stop function, regenerative braking, electric parking brake with auto hold function and with 3-zone climatronic air conditioning. Its high level of safety features includes 6 airbags, driver alert system and front fog lights with cornering light functions.
The Passat Trendline PLUS is priced at RM144,990, while the Passat Comfortline PLUS retails for RM169,980.
