Elon Musk was excited that he tweeted last week that production of the Model 3 was on schedule. In his tweet, he said that the world would see the first production model of the Model 3 on Friday. He was true to his word and he has tweeted early photos of the car.

The first car to roll off the production line would have gone to board member Ira Ehrenpreis as mentioned in a report by The Verge. But Ira Ehrenpreis has decided to give to Elon Musk as a 46th birthday which was a brilliant gesture.

Musk mentioned that production will continue to increase and that Tesla will be monitoring the units as they come off to see if there are any issues with the car.
