Toyota C-HR enjoys brisk sales in Japan

Toyota C-HR

Everyone here in Malaysia is eagerly awaiting for Toyota’s latest C-HR SUV and whilst Honda is busy capturing more market share with the HRV and BRV models, Toyota still hasn’t indicated any firm plans here in Malaysia yet. Elsewhere in Japan, the C-HR is enjoying brisk sales with Toyota selling more than 79,000 units in the first half of 2017.

The highest recorded peak sales were in April 2017 where Toyota managed to sell 13,168 units. This made the Toyota C-HR the most purchased vehicle in the Japanese market. Quite a feat especially in a market like Japan where there are plenty of competitors in the market. Still, the little Toyota SUV has earned numerous praises for its unique design and form.

The C-HR debuted in December 2016 as an SUV that reflects Toyota’s commitment to design and a quality driving experience. The C-HR is popular with customers of all ages with its sleek cabin profile and diamond architectural theme exuding a bold and daring personality, combined with the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform that enhances driving performance through a low centre of gravity and top-class fuel economy of 30.2 km/L.
