Naza Kia Malaysia, the official importer and distributor of Kia vehicles in Malaysia recently handed over the keys of a brand new Kia Sorento to Polis Di Raja Malaysia (PDRM).
On hand to receive the all new Kia Sorento at the Police headquarters in Bukit Aman Kuala Lumpur was the Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar. En SM Nasarudin Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, Group Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Officer, Naza Corporation Holdings Sdn Bhd, presented the Kia Sorento to the IGP. Accompanying En SM Nasarudin was Datuk Wira SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, Group Executive Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer, Naza World Group of Companies, En SM Faliq Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, Deputy Executive Chairman and Group Managing Director, Naza TTDI Sdn Bhd and Dato’ Samson Anand George, Group Chief Operating Officer, Automotive Group, Naza Corporation Holdings Sdn Bhd.
“We hope this gesture will further assist the men in blue, and we thank them for their sacrifices and contribution to our nation,” said En SM Nasarudin.
“This also provides the opportunity for the Police Force to experience the Sorento’s uncompromised safety features, performance, handling and overall drivability.” he added.
The Kia Sorento diesel variant is equipped with an R 2.2 CRDi engine producing a total output of 200PS and 441Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
It also comes standard with class-leading safety features such as 6 airbags, vehicle stability management (VSM), electronic stability control (ESC), anti-lock brake system (ABS) and hill-start assist control (HAC) among many others. These safety features provide practical road handling and high performances functionality.
