A self-driving Uber car was involved in an accident in Tempe, Arizona. The incident was reported that by the time the police arrived at the scene, the Volvo was on its side. This is another incident to the list of PR disasters hitting the ride-sharing technology company.

According to Bloomberg, Tempe police information officer Josie Montenegro said that the Uber vehicle was not responsible for the incident and there were no injuries. Another car failed to yield for the Uber car, causing the autonomous vehicle to flip on its side, according to the police report.
“There was a person behind the wheel, it is uncertain at this time if they were controlling the vehicle at the time of the collision.” – Josie Montenegro, Tempe police information officer.
From the images, it looked like the crash had quite an impact. As at the time of report, many agencies are stating that the Uber self-driving wasn’t at fault.
Uber has confirmed that at the time of the accident that there were no passengers in the rear seat. Uber began testing self-driving vehicles in Arizona only just recently.
