2017 Honda CR-V specifications leaked – 2.4 NA and 1.6 Diesel, no 1.5 Turbo for Thailand

A couple of days back we showed you guys spyshots of the 2017 Honda CR-V roaming the streets of Thailand.

This time around, we understood that Honda Thailand is set to introduce two engine choices for the 2017 CR-V in Thailand, courtesy of Headlightmag.

First up, power is expected to be derived from a naturally-aspirated 2.4-litre engine mated to Honda’s Earth Dreams CVT and a 1.6-litre turbodiesel mated to a nine-speed automatic. The larger engine does 175 hp and 225 Nm, whilst the smaller turbodiesel  can do 160 hp and 350 Nm. The nine-speed automatic can be had either as a front wheel drive or all wheel drive.

Apart from the powertrain options, the Thais can also look forward to the Honda CR-V’s new 5+2 seating arrangement, allowing the CR-V to rival the Nissan X-Trail. On top of that, when Honda Thailand unveils the all-new 2017 CR-V later this month, Thailand will be the first market in the world to receive the 5+2 version of the CR-V.

Equipment wise, expect similar fit to be offered on the CR-V as the 2016 Civic, including a digital instrument panel, large touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto plus Honda’s suite of safety hardware. On the North American model, the updated infotainment system now receives a volume knob.
