Underpinning the 2017 Subaru XV is the company’s new Subaru Global Platform (SGP). Visually, the Subaru XV continues with its mild rugged outlook with raised ride height, though now featuring Subaru’s new design language. As before, the Subaru XV is expected to feature a set of dual-tone alloy wheels all round.

According to CarAdvice, power could be derived from two engine choices, a 1.6- and 2.0-litre flat-four. The former does 115 hp whilst the larger one delivers 154 hp. The latter is also shared with the new 2017 Subaru Impreza. Elsewhere, a Subaru Lineartronic CVT sends drive to all four wheels via the company’s Symmetrical AWD system.

The company released a lone teaser shot in January, saying that the new XV will make a global debut next month. Compared to the leaked photos, design elements like the wheels and side profile is unmistakably identical, further cementing the fact that these photos are legit. Subaru has yet to comment on the matter, though we are fairly certain that these photos depict the production version of the XV.
