In celebration of the arrival of the New Year of the Rooster, MINI Malaysia has launched the stylish new MINI Countryman JCW Design Edition.
The new MINI Countryman JCW Design Edition comes with John Cooper Works Aerodynamic Kit which includes; front splitter, side skirts, side scuttles, rear diffuser and door sill. Aside from that, the John Cooper Works Sport Stripes which run parallel from the front to back and on the sides of the car, gives the MINI a more aggressive look and stance.
Additionally, the new MINI Countryman JCW Design Edition is the only MINI to offer the new interchangeable MINI LED door projectors. This makes for a special experience when getting in and out of the car wherein as soon as the doors are opened, a graphic is projected onto the ground. In addition to the MINI logo, it also comes with a Union Jack design and a John Cooper Works design.
Inside the cabin, the MINI Countryman JCW Design Edition boasts a selection of new design and functional elements such as the MINI Visual Boost with a 6.5-inch high-resolution colour LCD screen. There’s also a Sports Leather steering wheel with Paddle Shifters as the driver and passengers are seated in sports seats with Leather Gravity Carbon Black upholstery. The interior surface which is dressed in Piano Black also features chrome elements and just like other MINIs, this car also comes with automatic air-conditioning.
For added driving convenience, the MINI Countryman JCW Design Edition comes equipped with Park Distance Control and Sport Button, which tweaks the engine’s responses and the power assistance provided by the steering.
The MINI Countryman JCW Design Edition is further emphasized with a boot space of 350 litres, which can be extended up to 1,170 litres when the seats are folded down. The 40:20:20 split rear seats that fold down individually, can also slide 13 cm forward for extra boot space. With the split-folding rear seats, personalizing the seating arrangement is possible in order to accommodate more cargo without sacrificing passengers comfort. The MINI Countryman JCW Design Edition also has a flat load compartment floor which allows for extra storage space under the floor of the luggage compartment.
Under the hood, power is supplied by a 1.6 litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine, producing a total output of 190hp and 240 Nm of torque (260 Nm with its overboost function). As a result, the MINI Countryman JCW Design Edition could perform a century sprint in just 7.8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 212 km/h.
The new MINI Countryman JCW Design Edition is available in 4 paint finishes namely, Light White, Blazing Red, Starlight Blue and Jungle Green; all with Black roof and mirror caps.
The retail price (on the road and without insurance) for the new MINI Countryman JCW Design Edition including 5-Year Unlimited Mileage Warranty with Free Scheduled Service is RM242,888.00.
The new MINI Countryman JCW Design Edition arrives at all MINI Authorized Dealerships nationwide along with a special Chinese New Year campaign that runs from today until March 31st 2017.
