The next-generation Hyundai Veloster has been spied again, this time shedding some disguise at the rear end.

Despite the low resolution spyshot, we can see that the new Hyundai Veloster could be fitted with some go-fast bits, which includes centrally-mounted mufflers and independent rear suspension (IRS).

According to The Korean Car Blog, Hyundai’s 3-door hatchback could very well be fitted with IRS, similar to the one found on the Elantra Sport. It appears that Hyundai has gathered feedback from existing owners to finally equip the Veloster with IRS instead of a torsion beam.

On top of that, the source also believes that the new Hyundai Veloster will be offered with two engine choices, a naturally-aspirated 2.0-litre GDI engine plus a 1.6-litre TGDI. Output numbers are expected to be slightly improved over the predecessor. Hyundai is also said to be adding a Heads Up Display (HUD) to the new Veloster, hopefully to increase appeal amongst the younger crowd.
