Just a day after the launch of the Benelli TNT 135, Boon Siew Honda (BSH) today introduced its first low cc fun model, called the Honda MSX 125, known as the “Grom” in Thailand, as the newest addition into its model lineup.
“This easy to use, fun and functional motorcycle is designed to fit seamlessly into people’s daily lives. Its slim dimensions and sleek fairing make for easy filtering through urban traffic and slotting into bike parking bays.” claims BSH.
The MSX 125 is powered by a 125cc air-cooled single cylinder 4-stroke engine that delivers a maximum power of 7.2kW at 7,000rpm and a maximum torque of 11Nm at 5,250rpm. With its 5.7-litres fuel tank and by using a highly efficient Programmed – Fuel Injection (PGM-FI), users will definitely be able to enjoy excellent fuel economy. It is also good to know that the Euro 3 standard compliant engine contributes to reduction of CO2
emission that causes the greenhouse effect.
The chassis of MSX 125 is constructed from an extremely strong and durable steel mono backbone frame that provides confident handling in all conditions. The underbone frame is rigid yet flexible enough to allow a certain degree of yield, which enables it to better respond to changes on the road. The ideal dimensions of 1,755(L) x 730(W) x 1,000mm (H) makes the MSX 125 very easy to manage and navigate through heavy traffic.
In terms of its overall looks, it’s hard not to be drawn in by MSX 125’s contemporary profile, sleek fairing with its LED headlight & taillight. Riders will also appreciate the practicality of a comprehensive LCD digital dash with speedometer, twin trip meters, fuel gauge and clock.
The Honda MSX 125 retails for RM11,128 (GST included), with a manufacturing warranty of 2 years or 20,000km (whichever comes first). It is available in two colour options – Hyper Yellow and Burning Red.
