Jaguar’s first ever SUV, the F-Pace is expected to make a local debut before December arrives. The F-Pace was earlier previewed as the C-X17 concept, which made its debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Over the weekend, Sisma Auto organized its Grand Sales Carnival, where they previewed the upcoming Jaguar F-Pace, both in R-Sport and Prestige trim. According to the provided specifications sheet, both the F-Pace R-Sport and Prestige will be powered by the company’s 3.0-litre supercharged V6 petrol engine that does 340 PS and 450 Nm, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with Jaguar Sequential Shift that sends drive to all four wheels via the Intelligent Driveline Dynamics. On paper, the F-Pace can sprint to 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds from a dead stop.
Equipment wise, both models will get cruise control with speed limited, All Surface Progress Control (ASPC), daytime running lights (DRLs), front and rear fog lights, Meridian Digital Sound System with 11 speakers, Blind Spot Monitor and Reverse Traffic Detection, Gesture Tailgate and a rear view camera.
The entry-level Jaguar F-Pace Prestige gets 18-inch lightweight 15-spoke alloy wheels finished in silver, standard bodykit, Taurus leather upholstery, 10-way electric front seats with memory, metal treadplates with Jaguar Script, softgrain leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel, bi-xenon headlights with LED J Blade DRLs, InControl Touch infotainment system with 8-inch display, SD card navigation and a 5-inch instrument panel display with analogue dials.
Moving one level up is the Jaguar F-Pace R-Sport. The current range-topping variant gets 20-inch Templar 5 twin-spoke alloy wheels with silver finish all round, R-Sport bodykit, perforated Taurus leather upholstery, 14-way electrically-adjustable sport front seats with 4-way electric lumbar and memory, metal treadplates with R-Sport branding, softgrain leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel with R-Sport emblem, adaptive LED headlights with LED J Blade DRLs, configurable dynamics, InControl Touch Pro infotainment system with 10.2-inch touchscreen with SSD navigation, 12.3-inch instrument panel display with virtual dials and full screen 3D maps and a sliding panoramic roof.
When it comes to safety, the Jaguar F-Pace features six airbags, ABS, EBA, passive front head rest with whiplash protection, ISOFIX child seat mounts, front and rear parking sensors with rear view camera and Blind Spot Monitor with Reverse Traffic Detection. Prices start from RM598,800 for the Jaguar F-Pace Prestige.
