Square Enix’s long-awaited next entry in the 30-year-old Final Fantasy franchise rolls out on November 29th on PS4 and Xbox One, but first up is this promotional tie-up with Audi. Both companies have teamed up to design a real-world version of the ‘Star of Lucis’ car from the film Kingsglaive, which was released in July this year.
The Star of Lucis is based on the 2017 Audi R8 and since only one units will be made, Audi Japan will raffle off the opportunity to buy it. The application will be open on November 21st for 50,000,015 yen (est RM2,000,000) and one lucky buyer will have the opportunity to own this bespoke Audi R8 inspired by Final Fantasy XV, chosen by a lottery system.
Finished in gloss black, the Audi R8 Star of Lucis was crafted with plenty of floral detailing found on the split side blades, air intakes, wing mirrors, and rear wing. Additionally, the wheels comes with unique spoke design filled with semi-circles and all kinds of triangular shapes.
The Audi R8 Star of Lucis is powered by the 449kW/560Nm version of the 5.2-litre V10 used in the R8 Plus. Paired with all-wheel drive, and a 7-speed transmission, the car could perform a century in just 3.2 seconds, and on to a top speed of 330km/h.
