Honda Malaysia has previewed the all-new BR-V at the 2016 Malaysia Autoshow, expected to make an official debut in the coming weeks.
The Taffeta White variant of the Honda BR-V is powered by a 1.5-litre i-VTEC that pumps out a healthy 120 PS, likely mated to Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology CVT that drives the front wheels. Visually, the BR-V features Honda’s signature Solid Wing Face and a roof rail to enhance the MPV’s visual appeal. Additionally, the BR-V receives daytime running lights (DRLs) and 16-inch dual-tone wheels. On top of that, a reverse camera and sensors are also available on the BR-V.
With the rear seats up, the Honda BR-V boasts 223 litres of boot space, largest in its segment, which can be further increased to 539 litres with the third row seats folded down. The second row seats features one touch tild & tumble in a 60:40 split folding config while the third row seats comes in a 50:50 split folding config. Comfort will be further enhanced with the availability of leather seats and rear air-conditioning.
Apart from the Honda BR-V, Honda Malaysia also previewed a i-DCD Sport Hybrid model. From what we observed, this means that Honda Malaysia will be bringing in the Honda Jazz Hybrid in the near future, featuring the company’s i-DCD Sport Hybrid powertrain. It is currently unknown what are the actual specifications are, though this prototype gets regular halogen headlights, fender-mounted signal indicators and 16-inch alloy wheels from the Jazz Grade V.
