2016 may be ending in two month’s time, but it appears that Bermaz isn’t slowing down one bit, as spyshots have shown that Bermaz could be launching the Mazda CX-9 soon!
Replacing the ageing predecessor is a longer, taller and wider model that was launched globally nearly a year ago. Out goes the large 3.7-litre V6 engine that powered the old model, replaced by a smaller 2.5-liter turbocharged SkyActiv engine called the SkyActiv-G 2.5T. Yes, it is the first SkyActiv engine to be force-induced. Like other Mazda models, the Mazda CX-9 features a six-speed automatic transmission that can drive the front wheels or all four wheels.
The Mazda CX-9 is expected to arrive in CBU form, as the model is produced exclusively in Hiroshima, Japan. Expect prices to be in the region of RM250,000 for this range-topping SUV.
