BMW Group Malaysia recently organized the BMW Motorrad RR Experience Track Day, an experiential riding session with the legendary first 4-Cylinder Supersports bike made by BMW, the legendary ‘Double R’ – the BMW S1000RR.
Held at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC), test rides and track sessions took place for riders to experience the incredible performance capabilities and technology features of the premium superbike which was created for the racing circuit.
Malaysian Superbike Racer, Nasarudin Mat Yusop was also present for a hands-on demonstration as well as sharing expert knowledge and riding tips on the BMW S 1000 RR with BMW Motorrad customers.

Riley added that The BMW Motorrad RR Experience Track Day allows BMW Motorrad customers in the country to experience the promise behind the two-time Sportbike of the Year winner and the current King of the Isle of Man TT.
“The BMW Motorrad brand has been growing from strength to strength in Malaysia and the BMW S 1000 RR accounts for over 80 motorcycles annually.” said Riley.
Introduced at BMW World Malaysia in 2015, the BMW S 1000 RR is a combination of an aggressive design and sporty ergonomics with a high-performance engine, innovative chassis and suspension technology, as well as infectious handling with the highest standards of stability.
Combined with a short, toothed, sprocket-driven camshaft timing chain, the BMW S 1000 RR’s 999 cc four-cylinder in-line engine achieves maximum rpm stability and precise valve timing, delivering a maximum power of 199 hp at 12,000 rpm with torque peaking at 113 Nm.
In addition to refined torque delivery, the BMW S 1000 RR is also comes with new frame structure and chassis geometry for superior riding precision and even better handling. The BMW S 1000 RR is also eqquiped with industry leading safety and technology features such as Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), a track-capable ABS system known as Race ABS, and a choice of rider-selectable riding modes eliciting even sharper performance which is fitted for on the road or on-track action.
Available in Lupin Blue Metallic and Black Storm Metallic with Racing Red Highlights colour, the retail prices (on the road, without insurance) for the BMW S 1000 RR is RM104,900.
