In conjunction with the Naza Group Merdeka Auto Fair 2016, Naza Bikes has launched the new Naza N5R naked bike.
Key difference is the new fairing that houses the sleek dual slim headlights. The new Naza N5R features two new concepts, which includes True Sport and EZ-suit system, which consists of switchable riding position with adjustable handle, seat height and step position.
For a super sport position, the seat height is increased by 20 mm, handle bars lowered by 30 mm and step position moved backwards 30 mm.
As for street sport position, the seat height is lowered by 20 mm, handles bars raised by 30 mm and step position moved forward by 30 mm.
Powering the bike is a 249 cc single-cylinder engine that pumps out 28 PS at 9,500 rpm and 24.17 Nm at 7,000 rpm, which is paired to a constant mesh six-speed transmission.
The body is constructed out of lightweight steel tubular trellis frame with 37 mm upside down telescopic fork up front and a dual swingarm with gas charged hydraulic absorber at the rear. Up front, braking power comes from a 300 mm disc with four-piston calipers and 230 mm discs with two-piston calipers at the rear. Naza Bikes says that the new bike weights just 143 kg, lighter than most of its rivals.
The new bike is aimed at entry-level riders, thanks to its basic selling price of RM13,888. The price excludes GST and insurance.
