Sedan car buyers looking to stand out from the crowd can now have the option of owning a special Renault Fluence Formula Edition, made available through TC Euro Cars (TCEC), the sole franchise holder of Renault cars in Malaysia.
Featuring enhanced aesthetics to the exterior as well as interior, the limited edition Renault Fluence is offered in conjunction with Renault’s return to Formula One this year as a full works team and in the lead-up to the 2016 Malaysian Grand Prix.
Special treatment of the exterior include a 5-piece body kit, customised blue and red coloured decals, a muffler cutter and two-toned black alloy wheels instead of the two-toned silver on the standard version.
Meanwhile, the interior of the special Renault Fluence Formula Edition features exclusive gloss black trims as well as leather seats in rich maroon instead of black.
Under the hood, power is supplied by a 2.0-litre petrol engine, paired to a CVT X-Tronic automatic gearbox, that delivers a maximum power of 143 PS at 6,000 rpm and peak torque of 195Nm at 3,750 rpm.
The Renault Fluence Formula Edition also retains the same key specifications found in the standard Fluence such as a 7-inch touch screen display with built-in navigation, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, hands-free entry, push start button, automatic ‘walk away’ door locking, automatic climate control, rear air vents and cruise control with speed limiter as well as 530 litres of boot space.
In terms of safety, the Renault Fluence Formula Edition comes well equipped with ESP (Electronic Stability Program), ASR (traction control), 6 airbags (front, side and curtain), ISOFIX child seat anchors on the rear side seats and height adjustable 3-point front seatbelts with pretensioners.
The Renault Fluence Formula Edition retails for RM126,688 (on-the-road inclusive of GST, without insurance, for Peninsular Malaysia and private registration). There are two colour options for buyers to choose from, namely Black Metallic and White Pearl.
The Renault Fluence Formula Edition also comes with a 5-year full manufacturer’s warranty with unlimited mileage. This warranty is fully backed by Renault and not undertaken by any other insurance companies, which means terms and conditions as well as parts covered are consistent from the first year of ownership to the end of the warranty period.
