Following the official debut of the all-new Kia Sorento and Kia Sportage in KL back in May, both SUVs have now made their way into the East Malaysia market.
“East Malaysia is a growing market with strong potential. Because of the states’ wide and rugged terrain, East Malaysians are constantly on the lookout for SUVs that can not only handle these types of roads but make the journey comfortable and safe. The all-new Sorento and all-new Sportage fit the bill perfectly,” said Dato’ Samson Anand George, Group Chief Operating Officer, Automotive Group, Naza Corporation Holdings.
“The SUV segment of Malaysia’s market has grown in Sabah and Sarawak this year compared in 2015. Seeing the increasing demand for SUVs in East Malaysia, we made the strategic decision to make this region a platform for our diesel strategy and strengthen our position here,” he added.
Available in two variants; 2.0 2WD KX and 2.0 2WD GT, the all-new Kia Sportage is priced between RM122,887 to RM143,377 OTR including insurance. Meanwhile the all-new Kia Sorento is available in three variants namely, 2.2 CRDI, 2.4MS and 2.4HS with starting prices between RM156,612 to RM177,044 OTR including insurance. You can find out the full price list for both variants in East Malaysia at Naza Kia’s official website here.
In conjunction with the country’s independence day celebration, Naza Kia Malaysia has prepared special Merdeka deals on KIA models for East Malaysia customers. This allows them to drive home in a brand new KIA Cerato KX from only RM81K (for Kuching). Rebates of up to RM14,888 for other KIA models ranging from the Sportage, Sorento, Rio Sedan, Rio 5-door, Cerato, Cerato Koup and Optima K5 are also ripe for the taking. However, the campaign does not apply to the recently launched all-new Sportage and Sorento.
This is a limited time offer to coincide with the month of Merdeka so customers should make haste in grabbing these deals and enjoy all the benefits that come with being a KIA owner including first-hand experience of KIA’s service centres which were recognised by the JD Power 2016 Malaysia Customer Service Index (CSI) Study for their reliability and quality.
