South Korean giant Hyundai is expected to pull covers off the new Hyundai i20 at the 2016 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show later this week, but some folks have caught the car ahead of its debut!
According to OtoDriver, someone scooped the car at a dealer lot in South Jakarta. The new Hyundai i20 will be powered by a 1.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that outputs 100 PS and 134 Nm. Transmission choices include an automatic and manual.
In Indonesia, the Hyundai i20 will compete against the Honda Jazz, Toyota Yaris, Volkswagen Polo, Mazda 2 and Suzuki Swift. The new B-segment hatchback, according to Hyundai, takes a lofty 13.2 seconds to hit the century mark.
Price wise, the Hyundai i20 is said to have an entry price of IDR 249 million (~RM75,000) for the manual variant, while the automatic is said to have a price of IDR 263 million (~RM80,000).
What do you guys think? Should Hyundai Sime Darby Motors bring in the new Hyundai i20? After all, Kia does offer the Rio, and Hyundai lacks a competent B-segment entry. Could the Hyundai i20 fill that gap?
