Proton has expanded the 7-day operations of selected service centres consisting of 3S and 2S outlets, effective on 6 August 2016. As part of its Customers First drive, Proton has been intensifying its efforts to improve its after sales services.
The 7-day operations is aimed at reducing customers’ waiting time to service their vehicle and thus, providing additional flexibility for its customers to send their cars for servicing and maintenance during the weekends.
“When we started the 7 days operations at selected service outlets prior to this, it was to accommodate normal service and opening hours were only until 12 noon on Sunday. Now, for selected service centres we have extended the opening hours for Sunday up to 5 pm. More importantly, we have also enabled warranty claims to be processed during weekends as opposed to only weekdays previously.” said Dato’ Ahmad Fuaad Kenali, Chief Executive Officer of Proton.
“With these improvements, now our customers will have the flexibility to send their cars for service and/or warranty claims on weekends. This is part of our drive to provide more convenience to our customers especially for those who are unable to take time off from work during week day.” Dato’ Fuaad added.
The 9 service centres identified are in Plentong, Johor Bahru; Peringgit, Melaka; Senawang, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan; Temerloh, Pahang; Alor Setar, Kedah; Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman, Ipoh, Perak; Juru, Seberang Prai, Penang; Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya and Proton’s Centre of Excellence in Subang, Selangor.
From 1 October 2016, additional 14 service centres will follow suit and 4 more service centres to start from 1 December 2016. The business hours for all these outles are from 8 am to 5 pm, Mondays to Sundays and to ensure availability of service slots, customers are advised to make an appointment at these outlets although walk-ins are always welcomed.
In line with their effort to further enhance our customers’ satisfaction, effective 1 August 2016, Proton has implemented price revisions for selected parts such as the turbocharger, ECU and transmission assemblies. The review of the parts prices is to encourage our customers to use genuine parts that should be installed at all authorised service centres and ultimately assist in improving the cost of ownership for Proton cars. The parts involved in the price review will see about 12%-30% reduction in parts prices.
